Austin / Travis County and South Central Texas Weather Update #1
Prepared by Incident Meteorologist Troy Kimmel (www.troykimmelweather.com)
630pm CT – Monday / 7 April 2014

… Thunderstorms and Non Severe Hail Threat over the Next Couple of Hours ….

The last in a series of upper level low pressure disturbances will be moving over our
area over the next couple of hours.

It will be accompanied by scattered thunderstorms, and given the vertical temperature
profile, the possibility of 1/4 to 1/2 inch hail (non severe) along with the likelihood of
frequent cloud-to-ground lightning…

Stay weather aware… avoid outdoor activities and keep an eye on the sky over the next
few hours.

The disturbance should complete its move across the area.. with thunderstorms ending..
by 9pm..

I’ll continue to monitor..
