(1) A stable summer weather pattern continues through the upcoming weekend with plenty of sunshine and south southeasterly surface wind prevailing over the area.

(2) As an unseasonably broad and deep trough of low pressure deepens over the eastern half of the USA by the early part of next week, indications are that the air mass overhead becomes more unstable as a cold front moves into Texas resulting in a better chance of precipitation by Monday night and Tuesday and continuing into midweek.
