(1) A weak atmospheric disturbance will result in scattered rain showers and thunderstorms this afternoon into tonight with an associated lightning risk.

(2) By tomorrow, through the weekend and into next week, the atmosphere becomes more stable again with abundant sunshine and well above seasonal average temperatures with highs near 100.
