AUSTIN / UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS WEATHER
SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES…
(1) After some morning low clouds, we’ll see abundant sunshine with a big warmup continuing through today with afternoon high temperatures warming back to the 90s and approaching 100 degrees.
(2) In advance of our next stronger cold front, rain chances will return by late tonight into tomorrow with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms expected.
(3) As the front moves through the area in the morning hours tomorrow, cooler temperatures will move south southeastward into the area. Rain chances will decrease quickly by afternoon tomorrow in the wake of the front. Windy conditions, in the wake of the front, will result in higher wildfire danger tomorrow into tomorrow night in areas where little or no rainfall occurs.
(4) A mostly clear and unseasonably cool weather pattern will prevail tomorrow night through Sunday time period.
(5) A return southerly wind combined with very dry ground will result in a big warm up for early next week with high temperatures getting back into to near 90 once again ahead of a mid to late week cold front and a better return of gulf moisture into the area and better rain chances.
