SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES…

(1) In the wake of a strong upper air disturbance, a strong cold front will surge southeastward across Texas tomorrow with scattered to numerous rain showers and thunderstorms expected potentially yielding up to 1 inch of rainfall.

(3) Skies will partially clear with cooler temperatures expected by late Friday afternoon into Friday night through the weekend.

(4) Another even stronger cold front with increased clouds with rain chances expected by Monday into Tuesday. Much cooler temperatures will follow.

TODAY…. Cloudy with rain showers and a few thunderstorms with an associated lightning threat as a cold front passes this morning. Turning windy and much cooler. Where rainfall occurs, given a 90% chance of rain, it will average 0.50″ to 1.00″. High 70 this morning with temperatures falling into the 50s by midday. South southeasterly wind shifting northerly 10 to 20 mph and gusty.

TONIGHT…. Cloudy, windy and cooler with scattered rain showers mainly before midnight. Where rainfall occurs, given a 30% chance of rain, it will average 0.25″ or less. Low 44. Northerly wind 10 to 20 mph with some higher gusts.

FRIDAY…. Lingering clouds through midday into early afternoon with decreasing clouds by mid and late afternoon. High 57. Northerly wind 8 to 15 mph with some higher gusts.
