AUSTIN / UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS WEATHER
SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES
AND MY 7 DAY FORECAST CONFIDENCE …

(1) Our atmosphere continues to look quite stable and very summer like. Locally for the IH35 corridor, I am continuing to keep it dry with the typical late summer weather pattern prevailing over much of the next seven day period with afternoon high temperatures continuing to be above seasonal averages with highs near 100 by mid into lake week.

(2) A south southeastward moving cold front pushing into Texas will likely pull up stationary just to our north by late Thursday into Friday. Assuming the system stays north of our area, I expect little change locally.

(3) Although it is just beyond the seven day forecast period, I see a slightly stronger cold front that moves into and through our area with perhaps a rain shower or thunderstorm by next Monday.

(4) The official beginning of the fall season comes with the Autumnal Equinox on Thursday night at 8:03pm CDT.

NWS/Weather Prediction Center rainfall guidance is predicting little or no rainfall over our area for the next seven day forecast period.

MY FORECAST CONFIDENCE OVER THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS…
A high to very high confidence forecast through the 7 day forecast period.
