AUSTIN / IH35 CORRIDOR
SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES
AND MY 7 DAY FORECAST CONFIDENCE …

(1) Another weak disturbance will pass tomorrow – timed with maximum daytime heating – and will result in widely scattered to scattered rain showers and thunderstorms for the afternoon and evening hours under a partly cloudy sky.

(2) A drier and more stable weather pattern will develop over the area Friday through the weekend in the wake of a weak cold front due to pass through the area on Friday. While temperatures will be slightly below average initially, temperatures are expected to rebound strongly by Sunday into the first half of next week.

(3) Although there is still uncertainty on timing, a more unstable weather pattern will return by Tuesday and Wednesday. I will continue a few rain showers and thunderstorms to our forecast for this period.

Based on NWS/Weather Prediction Center data and guidance, my forecast is for 0.50 inch of rainfall for our IH35 corridor counties through the 7 day forecast period which ends in the early morning hours next Wednesday. Most of that is expected to occur today and tomorrow (Thursday).

MY LOCAL FORECAST CONFIDENCE OVER THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS…
A high confidence forecast through Monday then dropping to a medium forecast confidence by Tuesday.
