AUSTIN / IH35 CORRIDOR
WEATHER HAZARDS THROUGH 12 MIDNIGHT TONIGHT…

Wildfire danger continues…

AUSTIN / IH35 CORRIDOR
SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES
AND MY 7 DAY FORECAST CONFIDENCE …

(1) Another mostly sunny day is expected today as southerly surface wind increase. Clouds will pick up overnight into tomorrow.

(2) With low level moisture and atmospheric instability increasing, an approaching stronger upper level low pressure disturbance, from the southwestern US and northwestern Mexico, looks to slowly cross the area with some of the best rain chances, and most importantly, the most impressive forecast rainfall amounts, for late tomorrow night into Thursday and likely continuing through Friday.

(3) Clouds and rain move out with sunshine Saturday into Sunday. A dry cold front arrives Sunday with slightly cooler and drier air to arrive for the start of the new week.

Based on NWS/Weather Prediction Center guidance, my forecast is for 3.00 to 3.50 inches of rainfall, on average, for our IH35 corridor counties over the next seven day forecast period. Some isolated heavier totals are possible.

MY LOCAL FORECAST CONFIDENCE OVER THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS…
A high to very high confidence forecast through tomorrow then falling back to a high confidence forecast for Thursday and Friday through the weekend.
