WEATHER HAZARDS THROUGH 12 MIDNIGHT TONIGHT…

No weather hazards expected..

AUSTIN / IH35 CORRIDOR
SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES
AND MY 7 DAY FORECAST CONFIDENCE …

(1) Clouds have thickened and lowered as an upper level low pressure area approaches the area and a surface low starts to spin up over the northwestern gulf. Precipitation chances will hold off with a few sprinkles of rain possible in the predawn hours tomorrow into the day and evening as the upper air system passes overhead and the system in the gulf moves eastward. At this point, I feel like temperatures will remain just above the freezing mark locally tonight into tomorrow morning on the IH35 corridor with little impact. Some localized and isolated issues could occur in the hills of extreme northwestern Hays county as well as western Travis county into western and northern Williamson county. I will continue to monitor this closely. Even so, unseasonably cold temperatures continue into the weekend.

(2) In the wake of this late week/early weekend system, we’ll see partial clearing during the early morning hours Sunday and continuing into mid week with a southerly surface wind becoming reestablished with our temperatures headed upwards.

(3) Another dry cold front will pass the area during the afternoon hours next Wednesday with slightly cooler temperatures following.

Based on NWS/Weather Prediction Center guidance, my forecast is for less than 0.10 inch rainfall amounts, on average, for our IH35 corridor counties over the next seven day forecast period.

MY LOCAL FORECAST CONFIDENCE OVER THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS…
A high to very high confidence forecast over the next seven day period.
