NWS Issues Flash Flood Warning for IH35 Corridor Until 1045am (Wed/09Sep2020)

My Observations/Thoughts…
Given latest rainfall amounts (see image below), I am not that concerned locally on the
IH35 corridor at the current time with most ground truth rainfall less than an inch so far.
My greatest immediate concern is for hill country west of the IH35 corridor.
HOWEVER, A Flash Flood WATCH remains in effect through tomorrow for IH35 corridor
counties and westward.. please remember, “Turn Around, Don’t Drown.”

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northwestern Bastrop County in south central Texas...
  Eastern Blanco County in south central Texas...
  Burnet County in south central Texas...
  Caldwell County in south central Texas...
  Eastern Comal County in south central Texas...
  Guadalupe County in south central Texas...
  Hays County in south central Texas...
  Travis County in south central Texas...
  Williamson County in south central Texas...

* Until 1045 AM CDT.

* At 745 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain 
  have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin 
  shortly.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Doppler radar.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Austin, Round Rock, New Braunfels, Cedar Park, Georgetown, San 
  Marcos, Pflugerville, Schertz, Kyle, Seguin, Cibolo, Taylor, Buda, 
  Lockhart, Selma, Elgin, Burnet, Marble Falls, Luling and Dripping 
  Springs.
