AUSTIN / UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS WEATHER
SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES…

(1) A cold front is moving through the area with scattered to numerous rain showers and thunderstorms as it moves through. Rain chances will decrease by midday today as cooler and drier air moves into the area.

(2) Plenty of sunshine is expected with drier and a little cooler air tonight through mid week.

(3) By late Thursday into early on Friday, a strong cold front will move through the area once again with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms. Although model guidance varies a little regarding when the precipitation will end – and this is resulting in bit less forecast confidence on my part – but I still expect unseasonably chilly weather as get into next weekend. Even if precipitation ends a little later than I expect on Friday, I am still expected plenty of sunshine Saturday into Sunday.
