AUSTIN / UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS WEATHER
SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES…

(1) With surface high pressure to our east and a trough, or line, of low pressure to our west, a south southeasterly surface wind is becoming reestablished as the new week begins. Temperatures will be a bit warmer with a few more clouds as well.

(2) Another weak cold front will be moving deep into Texas by tomorrow with increased cloud cover but, other than a brief wind shift, little overall change is anticipated.

(3) As a strong upper level low pressure approaches the area from the west, we’ll see clouds thicken and rain chances reappear in the forecast by late Wednesday into Thursday.

(4) In the wake of the upper air disturbance, a strong cold front will surge southeastward across Texas Thursday midday into afternoon with scattered to numerous rain showers and thunderstorms expected potentially yielding up to 1/2 inch of rainfall.

(5) Skies will clear with cooler temperatures expected Friday into Friday night through the weekend.

(6) Another stronger cold front with increased clouds expected by next Monday.
