AUSTIN / UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS WEATHER
SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES…

(1) A weak cold front has washed out overhead of the Austin area proper. There is still a bit of residual instability, so I continuing a slim to very slim chance of rain showers and thunderstorms today and into tomorrow.

(2) By Saturday night into Sunday, the front should be completely washed out with upper level high pressure (the “lid” on the atmosphere) becoming more established over the area. As a result, a drier and more stable weather situation is expected for Sunday into Labor Day and into the middle into latter part of next week.
