SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES…

(1) In the wake of our early morning cold front, cooler temperatures has moved into our area. Rain chances will decrease quickly by afternoon today in the wake of the front. Windy conditions, in the wake of the front, will result in higher wildfire danger today into tonight in areas where little or no rainfall has occurred.

(2) A mostly clear and unseasonably cool weather pattern will prevail tomorrow through Sunday time period.

(3) A return southerly wind combined with very dry ground will result in a big warm up for early next week with high temperatures getting back into to near 90 once again ahead of a cold front due Tuesday night and a associated rain chances.

(4) Lots of sunshine with temperatures at or slightly above average is expected  for the end of next week.

TODAY…. Mostly cloudy.. windy and cooler with scattered morning rain showers and thunderstorms with an associated lightning threat. Where rainfall occurs, given a 40%chance of rain, it will average 0.25″ or less. Wildfire danger by afternoon in drier areas. Temperatures in the 50s in the morning rising back to the 60s in the afternoon. North northwesterly wind 15 to 25 mph and gusty.
