… Sunshine …
On the Weather Map…
On the surface map… a surface low pressure area is moving northeastward through southern Alabama and the northwest Florida panhandle with a warm front eastward from the low through northern Florida with a cold front extending southward from the low ito the central Gulf of Mexico. A surface high is situated over the intermountain west. As a result of this surface weather pattern, the surface winds are light and variable or light westerly.
On the upper air map… a trough, or line, of upper level low pressure is located from Illinois south southeastward. As a result of this upper air weather pattern, the 30,000 foot winds over our local area are westerly 100 to 120 mph.
What I am Seeing As I Look Ahead…
Sunshine and warmer temperatures will continue through Sunday. In the wake of a weak cold front late Sunday into early Monday, temperatures will fall a few degrees, with the sunshine continuing, for Monday with warmer temperatures once again Tuesday.
Approaching low pressure and a surface cold front will result in increasing clouds, humidity and some slim rain chances by the middle into latter part of the next week and into the 8 to 14 day outlook period.
Have a good Friday..
