an Associated Lightning Risk ….

SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES…

(1) An upper level low pressure disturbance and associated cold front will approach the area by late tonight through tomorrow early afternoon with a good chance of rain showers and thunderstorms as a cold front passes by mid afternoon tomorrow…

(2) Clearing.. less humid and a little cooler temperatures are expected in the wake of the front for Saturday night with Abundant Sunshine Sunday into Monday…

(3) Clouds will be on the increase and rain chances return by Tuesday as low level moisture increases over our area in advance of another cold front expected to pass east of the IH35 on Wednesday morning…

(4) Skies will clear with a little cooler temperatures for the latter part of next week…

TONIGHT…. Increasing clouds becoming mostly cloudy in the evening. Scattered to numerous rain showers and thunderstorms, with an associated lightning risk, after 11pm. A 60% chance of rain; where rainfall occurs, it will average 1/4 inch. Low 63. East southeasterly wind 5 to 10 mph.

SATURDAY…. Cloudy with numerous rain showers and thunderstorms with an associated lightning risk mainly before 1pm. An 80% chance of rain; rainfall will average 1/4 to 1/2 inch. In the wake of an afternoon cold front, rain tapering off mid afternoon with clouds decreasing by late afternoon. High 79. East southeasterly wind 5 to 12 mph becoming westerly 8 to 18 with some higher gusts by afternoon.
