WEATHER HAZARDS THROUGH 12 MIDNIGHT TONIGHT…
… A Lightning Risk with any Thunderstorm Tonight …

AND MY 7 DAY FORECAST CONFIDENCE …
(1) As a shallow wedge of unseasonably cold air, only a few thousand feet deep, continues over the area, a strong upper level low pressure disturbance, and its counterclockwise circulation, remains to the west with disturbances being ejected eastward over the area. This has resulted in an unsettled weather pattern / an overrunning weather pattern with low clouds, rain chances and unseasonably cool temperatures.
(2) As the main part of the upper level low pressure disturbance approaches and moves overhead and we maximize atmospheric instability and lift later today into tonight and early Wednesday, we’ll see rain and even a few thunderstorms. The system will finally move off to our east northeast by midday tomorrow with rain chances lowering and clouds slowly clearing in the wake of the system.
(3) A dry and stable fall weather pattern will return, with abundant sunshine, for Thursday and Friday through our upcoming Halloween weekend. Although temperatures will warm a bit, I still expect temperatures to be below seasonal averages.
NWS/Weather Prediction Center rainfall guidance, for the IH35 corridor over the next seven days, suggests 0.25″ to 0.50″ for our area.

TONIGHT…. Cloudy with rain, scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms with an associated lightning risk. A 70% chance of rain; rainfall, where it occurs, will average .25″. Low 43. Northerly wind 5 to 12 mph.
WEDNESDAY…. Cloudy with rain, scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms with an associated lightning risk mainly before noon with rain chances decreasing west to east during the afternoon. Decreasing clouds by mid and late afternoon. A 60% chance of rain before noon; rainfall, where it occurs, will average .25″. High 59. Northwesterly wind increasing to 8 to 18 mph with some higher gusts.
