AUSTIN / UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS WEATHER
SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES…

.. A Quiet and Stable Weather Pattern through the Next Seven Days ..
.. A Weak Late Season Cold Front Due Later Today into Tonight..

(1) Upper level high pressure, acting like a “lid” of the atmosphere, will result in a dry and stable late spring/early summer weather pattern today. Temperatures will be warming up with afternoon highs in the 100 to 105 degree range.

(2) By later this afternoon, a cold front will move southeastward across the IH35 corridor. I still think that the very stable air mass in place of the front will keep us from seeing much sensible change in the weather (other than the wind shift) as the front passes. High resolution model guidance had shifted any thunderstorm further to our east as the system passes.

(3) A mostly clear, dry and stable weather pattern will continue, with temperatures down a few degrees but still a bit above seasonal averages, for the latter half of the week through next weekend.
