Drier Air Has Moved In .. Fire Danger For The Afternoon …
Dry Stable Weather Late Week into the Weekend …
Another Cold Front Due Monday …
On this Thursday… a cold front is moving through Texas with the associated low pressure area moving northeastward from the Texas panhandle. As a result of this pressure pattern, in the wake of the front, surface winds are moderate westerly across our area.
In the upper levels of the atmosphere, a deep area of northeastward moving upper air low pressure is over eastern Colorado.. northeast New Mexico.. northwest Texas and the Oklahoma panhandle. As a result of this upper air wind flow, our upper level winds are moderate to strong southwesterly.
The upper air storm system northwest of our area is moving northeastward and will move well to our north as the day goes along. Drier air has already surged eastward into our area which has undercut our rain chances. Skies will continue through the day as a drier and stable weather pattern takes hold. The drier and more stable air mass will prevail into the weekend.
Another low pressure area and cold front will move through Texas on Monday with another slim chance of rain showers and thunderstorms.
Have a good Thursday night and Friday…
