…. A Dry and Stable Weather Pattern Prevail Tomorrow Through the Weekend ….
…. Southerly Winds Return Resulting in Higher Humidity ….
…. No Rain Chances over the Next Seven Days ….
On this Friday… a surface high pressure area, that moved into Texas into the wake of yesterday’s front, is moving eastward from the plains into the lower and middle Mississippi Valley. The cold front extends from eastern Tennessee into Alabama and southern Mississippi and southeastern Louisiana and the northwestern Gulf of Mexico. As a result of this pressure pattern, a south southeasterly surface wind is returning to our area.
In the upper levels of the atmosphere, a trough.. or line.. of upper air low pressure is located over the eastern USA and the Mississippi Valley. As a result of the upper air wind flow, the upper level winds are moderate northwesterly over our area.
As the surface high pressure area, which moved southward into the area in the wake of yesterday’s cold front, moves eastward our surface winds are returning south southeasterly. This will continue through the balance of our seven day forecast period with no air mass changes seen through the latter part of next week.
This dry and stable weather pattern will result in partly cloudy skies with late night and early morning low cloudiness expected through the weekend through most of next week with afternoon high temperatures near or slightly above seasonal averages.
For Austin and south central Texas… tonight will be clear to partly cloudy with lows in the upper 60s to near 70. South southeasterly wind. For tomorrow, partly cloudy.. warmer and more humid with highs in the 90s. South southeasterly wind.
Have a good Friday night and a Safe Weekend…
