… Lots of Sunshine With A Dry Weather Pattern Over Next Seven Days …
… Dry Cold Frontal Passages Due Overnight Tonight and Again Thursday …
On the Weather Map…
On the surface map… surface high pressure extends southeast from the Pacific northwest into the intermountain west and southern Rockies into Texas. As a result of this surface weather pattern, our surface winds across south central Texas are light westerly.
On the upper air map… a broad trough, or line, of upper level low pressure covers the eastern half of the USA with an upper level high pressure over eastern Washington and Oregon and Idaho south into northern Arizona and southern Nevada. An upper level low pressure disturbance is off the west coast of the central part of the Baja Peninsula. As a result of this upper air weather pattern, the 30,000 foot winds over our area are westerly 75 to 85 mph.
What I am Seeing As I Look Ahead…
It looks like lots of sunshine over the coming days and through the next seven day period.
Dry cold frontal passages are expected after midnight tonight and again during the day on Thursday. Above average temperatures are expected today with temperatures back closer to seasonal averages tonight and tomorrow and continuing through the balance of the seven day forecast period.
With limited low level moisture return, I do not expect precipitation chances through the balance of the seven day forecast period.
Have a good Monday….
