.. A Dry Stable Weather Pattern Continues ..
On the Weather Map…
On the surface map… surface high pressure continues over the Atlantic Ocean and the southeastern USA. A trough.. or line.. of surface low pressure extends southward from eastern Colorado and western Kansas into eastern New Mexico and western Texas. As a result of this surface weather pattern, our surface winds across south central Texas are light south southeasterly.
Upper air map… a high pressure area is over the southwestern USA and northern Mexico. An upper level low is associated with the remnants of tropical cyclone Irma over northern Kentucky. As a result of this upper air weather pattern, the 30,000 foot winds over our area are light north northwesterly.
What I am Seeing As I Look Ahead…
We’ll see the dry stable weather pattern continue to hold through the remainder of the week and through the upcoming weekend and even into next week with temperatures around seasonal levels.
