.. A Dry Stable Weather Pattern Continues ..
On the Weather Map…
On the surface map… surface high pressure extends west southwestward from the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence River Valley into the central plains. A very weak trough.. or line.. of surface low pressure extends southward from eastern Colorado and western Kansas into eastern New Mexico. As a result of this surface weather pattern, our surface winds across south central Texas are light northwesterly.
Upper air map… a high pressure area is over the intermountain west and the Rockies. An upper level low is associated with the remnants of tropical cyclone Irma over Mississippi and Alabama. As a result of this upper air weather pattern, the 30,000 foot winds over our area are north northwesterly 60 to 70 mph.
What I am Seeing As I Look Ahead…
We’ll see a dry stable weather pattern continue to hold through the new week and through the upcoming weekend with temperatures warming to seasonal levels.
Have a good Tuesday….
