.. Afternoon Heat Stress Index Above 100 Over The Next Few Days ..

SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES…

.. A Drier and More Stable Summer Weather Pattern Prevails  ..

(1) Upper level high pressure, acting like a “lid” on our atmosphere, will result in a stable summer weather pattern for much of the next seven day forecast period. Afternoon high temperatures will be headed up with afternoon heat stress index readings in excess of 100 degrees. Afternoon high temperatures will be near the 100 degree mark by late week into the 4th of July holiday weekend.

(2) Looking toward the end of the seven day forecast period, there are indications that the center of upper level high and the atmospheric “lid” will move further west and will weaken overhead by the middle part of next week. As a result, I will add slim rain chances beginning next Tuesday.
