.. Sunshine Continues Through the Weekend ..
.. Stronger Cold Front By Monday Night into Tuesday Morning ..

On the Weather Map…
On the surface map… surface high pressure extends westward from the Atlantic Ocean into eastern Tennessee. A stationary front extends westward from northern Indiana and Illinois into southern Iowa then southwestward through Kansas into a surface low over eastern Colorado and then westward into southern Utah. As a result of this surface weather pattern, our surface winds across south central Texas are light and variable.

Upper air map… upper level high pressure extends eastward from northern Mexico into Texas and the southeastern USA. A trough, or line, of upper level low pressure extends from south and western Canada over the northwestern USA with the main low pressure disturbance, with counterclockwise flow, over eastern Montana. As a result of this upper air weather pattern, the 30,000 foot winds over our area are north northwesterly less than 15 mph.

What I am Seeing As I Look Ahead…

A drier and more stable weather pattern continues over the area and will persist for our weekend.

A cold front will be moving through Texas by Tuesday morning with cooler temperatures following its passage through the area. As it moves through the area, a few rain showers and thunderstorms are possible.

Temperatures are expected to fall to below seasonal averages as sunshine returns for the middle and latter part of next week.

Have a good Friday….
