.. Sunshine Continues Through the Weekend ..
.. Stronger Cold Front By Monday Night into Tuesday Morning ..

On the Weather Map…
On the surface map… surface high pressure is over eastern Tennessee and western North Carolina. A stationary front extends westward from central Missouri into central Kansas into central Colorado. As a result of this surface weather pattern, our surface winds across south central Texas are light and variable.

Upper air map… upper level high pressure extends eastward from northern Mexico into Texas and the southeastern USA. A deep broad trough, or line, of upper level low pressure extends from south and western Canada over the northwestern USA with the main low pressure disturbance, with counterclockwise flow, extending southwestward from Montana into northern Nevada and southeastern Oregon. As a result of this upper air weather pattern, the 30,000 foot winds over our area are north northwesterly about 15 to 25 mph.

What I am Seeing As I Look Ahead…

A drier and more stable weather pattern continues and will persist through the upcoming weekend.

A stronger cold front for Texas by Monday night into the predawn hours Tuesday morning with much cooler temperatures following its passage through the area. As it moves through the area, a quick round of rain showers and thunderstorms is possible.

Temperatures are expected to fall to well below seasonal averages as sunshine returns for the middle and latter part of next week.

Have a good Thursday….
