.. In Wake of Predawn Cold Front, Much Cooler Temperatures in Store ..
.. A Warming Trend by Late Week into the Weekend ..

On the Weather Map…
On the surface map… a cold front extends southwestward from southeastern Missouri through Arkansas into southeast Texas and along the Texas coast and deep south Texas into Mexico. As a result of this surface weather pattern, our surface winds across south central Texas are northerly.

Upper air map… upper level high pressure is over the USA eastern seaboard and the western Atlantic Ocean. A eastward moving strong upper air low pressure disturbance is moving eastward over eastern Kansas. As a result of this upper air weather pattern, the 30,000 foot winds over our area are southwesterly 35 to 45 mph.

What I am Seeing As I Look Ahead…

In the wake of this morning’s cold front, temperatures will be below seasonal averages as clouds clear and sunshine returns later today through tomorrow. A few clouds reappear with warmer temperatures (temperatures back to slightly above seasonal averages) for the latter part of the week through the weekend.

Another cold front is expected to pass across the IH35 corridor late Sunday night into Monday morning with widely scattered rain showers and thunderstorms possible.

Have a good Tuesday….
