… Lots of Sunshine With A Dry Weather Pattern Over Next Seven Days …
… Another Dry Cold Frontal Passage Again Thursday …

On the Weather Map…
On the surface map… another weak cold front has passed overhead of the area in the overnight hours with the southeastward moving cold front located from southern Alabama and Mississippi into southern Louisiana and across the Texas coastal plains and into northeastern Mexico southwest of Del Rio. Surface high pressure extends southeast from the Pacific northwest into the intermountain west and southern Rockies into Texas. As a result of this surface weather pattern, our surface winds across south central Texas are northerly.

On the upper air map… a broad trough, or line, of upper level low pressure covers the eastern half of the USA with the trough extending southward from Hudson Bay down into the southeastern USA. An upper level high pressure is over the western USA. An weakening upper level low pressure disturbance is over central part of the Baja Peninsula. As a result of this upper air weather pattern, the 30,000 foot winds over our area are westerly 80 to 90 mph.

What I am Seeing As I Look Ahead…

It looks like lots of sunshine over the coming days and through the next seven day period.

After this morning’s dry cold frontal passage, I expect another one again late tomorrow afternoon. Temperatures, in the wake of these fronts, will be back closer to seasonal averages today continuing through the balance of the seven day forecast period.

With limited low level moisture return, I do not expect precipitation chances through the balance of the seven day forecast period.

Have a good Tuesday….
