… A More Stable, Less Humid Weather Pattern Returns …

On the Weather Map…

On the surface map… high pressure is settling in over Texas in the wake of the cold front that passed over the last 12 hours. As a result of this surface weather pattern, our surface winds are northerly.

On the upper air map… an eastward moving low pressure trough, or a “line” of low pressure, extends southward from Hudson Bay and the Great Lakes southward through the Mississippi Valley. As result of the upper air weather pattern, the 30,000 foot winds over our local area are northwesterly.

What I am Seeing As I Look Ahead…

Over the last 24 hours, we’ve seen the return of sunshine and a drier and more stable air mass. In addition, a surface cold front has moved through the area.

Another cold front will approach the area by late Sunday night into early next week. Rain chances look minimal as this system moves through with some lingering clouds in the wake of the front along with a little cooler temperatures. Another cold front appears in the guidance in the Tuesday night into Wednesday time frame.

Have a good Friday..
