.. A Dry Stable Weather Pattern Continues ..
.. Dry Cold Frontal Passage Tomorrow Night as Well as on Thursday ..

On the Weather Map…
On the surface map… surface high pressure is located to the east of our area centered from eastern Kentucky southwestward to central Mississippi. A trough.. or line.. of low pressure extends south southwestward from eastern Colorado and western Kansas into eastern New Mexico and west Texas. As a result of this surface weather pattern, our surface winds across south central Texas are light and variable or light southerly.

On the upper air map… an upper level low pressure trough extending southward from east of Hudson Bay over the eastern half of the USA and into the northeastern Gulf of Mexico. An upper air high pressure is located north northeastward from northern Mexico into the central US. Another strong trough of low pressure is moving ashore along the coast of California. As a result of this upper air weather pattern, the 30,000 foot winds over our area are northerly 50 to 55 mph.

What I am Seeing As I Look Ahead…

As we start the new week, a dry and stable weather pattern continues.

In this dry and stable weather pattern, several dry cold frontal passages are expected.. one due by tomorrow (Tuesday) night and another one on Thursday. Temperatures will cool a bit in the wake of the fronts. Temperatures, on average, will be near or slightly above average over the next seven days.

With the stable and relatively dry weather pattern in place, I do not anticipate and precipitation over south central Texas over the next seven days.

Have a good Monday….
