.. A Warming Trend Underway ..
.. Another Cold Front With A Chance of Rain Sunday ..
.. Cooler Start to the New Week Ahead ..

On the Weather Map…
On the surface map… a surface high pressure area is located over northern Kentucky into southern Indiana. A trough, or line, of low pressure extends southwestward from Kansas into far west Texas and New Mexico with a cold front extending from central Kansas into the central Texas panhandle then northwestward into northeastern New Mexico and Colorado. As a result of this surface weather pattern, our surface winds across south central Texas are southerly.

On the upper air map… upper level high pressure stretches from Texas across the southeastern USA. A trough, or line, of upper air low pressure stretches south southwestward from west of Hudson Bay south southwesterly across the Pacific Northwest. As a result of this upper air weather pattern, the 30,000 foot winds over our area are southerly about 20 mph.

What I am Seeing As I Look Ahead…

A few clouds reappear with warmer temperatures – with temperatures back to slightly above seasonal averages – through tonight as well as Saturday and Saturday night.

Another cold front is expected to pass across the IH35 corridor Sunday with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms possible.

I expect partial clearing with cooler and less humid conditions for Sunday night through Monday into Tuesday.

Have a good Friday….
