.. Cooler Than Average Temperatures Continue Through Tonight ..
.. A Warming Trend Late Week into the Weekend ..
.. Another Cold Front With A Chance of Rain Late Sunday into Sunday Night ..

On the Weather Map…
On the surface map… a surface high pressure area extends from central Nebraska and central Kansas southward into Texas. A trough, or line, of low pressure is slowly deepening from eastern Colorado southward into west Texas and eastern New Mexico. As a result of this surface weather pattern, our surface winds across south central Texas are north northeasterly.

On the upper air map… upper level high pressure stretches from Texas across the southeastern USA. A deepening trough, or line, of upper air low pressure stretches south southwestward from British Columbia across Washington and Oregon. As a result of this upper air weather pattern, the 30,000 foot winds over our area are south southwesterly 30 to 35 mph.

What I am Seeing As I Look Ahead…

Under a mostly clear sky, temperatures continue below seasonal averages across our area.

A few clouds reappear with warmer temperatures – with temperatures back to slightly above seasonal averages – for the latter part of the week through the weekend.

Another cold front is expected to pass across the IH35 corridor late Sunday into Sunday night with widely scattered rain showers and thunderstorms possible.

Cooler and less humid conditions return for Monday into Tuesday.

Have a good Wednesday….
