.. Sunshine Through the Weekend Into Next Week ..

On the Weather Map…
On the surface map… surface high pressure extends from the Great Lakes south southeastward into the southeastern USA and the southern plains. A very weak trough.. or line.. of surface low pressure extends southward from eastern Colorado and western Kansas into far west Texas and eastern New Mexico. As a result of this surface weather pattern, our surface winds across south central Texas are light northeasterly.

Upper air map… a deep upper level low pressure trough is located from Hudson Bay through the Great Lakes region into the southeastern USA. As a result of this upper air weather pattern, the 30,000 foot winds over our area are westerly 30 to 40 mph.

What I am Seeing As I Look Ahead…

We’ll see a dry stable weather pattern continue to hold through the remainder of the week and through the weekend with temperatures a little below seasonal averages warming a bit to seasonal levels by the early to middle part of next week.
