.. A Cold Front Due Tonight with Scattered Thunderstorms ..
.. Drier and A Little Cooler Through the Balance of the Week into the Weekend ..

On the Weather Map…
On the surface map… a surface cold front extends west southwestward from southern Missouri into northern Oklahoma and the Texas panhandle then northwestward into Colorado. Surface high pressure is situated over the southeastern USA as well as to the northwest over the four corners region. As a result of this surface weather pattern, our surface winds across south central Texas are light south southwesterly.

Upper air map… a deepening upper level low pressure trough is located from Hudson Bay into the Great Lakes region. As a result of this upper air weather pattern, the 30,000 foot winds over our area are light southwesterly.

What I am Seeing As I Look Ahead…

Another nice today with temperatures near seasonal averages.

The cold front.. to our north.. will move through our area by late tonight. Along and just ahead of the front, I expect scattered rain showers and thunderstorms to move through the area quickly after 11pm tonight. Rainfall of 1/4 inch is possible.

We’ll see a little cooler and drier air take hold beginning tomorrow through the remainder of the week and through the weekend with temperatures a little below seasonal averages.

Have a good Tuesday….
